The training will take approximately 40 hours of course work to complete. You can take your course either online or in class. In class settings which is available here accredited training schools.

• Once you have the above parameters met the best way to apply is online through ServiceOntario.
• If you apply online, you can check on the status of your application online within 2 business days.
• When your application is approved, if you applied online you will also be able to access a printable digital licence which can be used as proof of licence until you get your card in the mail.

To be eligible for a security guard licence in Ontario you:

• must be 18 years old or older.
• must be able to legally work in Canada.
• must have a clean criminal record.
• take the Ontario security guard basic training course.
• when you finish training you will get a training number to take your Exam.

Yes – By completing our course and attending all the Webinars and online learning components, you will be issued with your unique Ministry number required to book and write your exam.
